The CVAUSA network currently spans 23 distinct practices across 8 states, and CVAUSA clinicians collectively serve more than 750,000 unique patients annually.CVAUSA is seeking a Director of Practice Support.   Remote (ideally in Eastern or Central Time zones) to support a group of diversified Cardiology practices in various geographical regions in various locations/states.   Candidates must have prior or current Cardiology experience.  Job Responsibilities:The Director of Practice Support will function as an important member of CVAUSA’s National Support Office (NSO) and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This individual will be responsible for multiple and different branded practices possibly in different states withing the USA. The Director will be involved also in the acquisition process of future acquisitions related to practice operations and governance.  Focus will be to support the local practice leadership and enhance growth opportunities. Problem solving with local leaders to increase efficiency and effective where needed in relation to patient care. Furthermore, the position will work with the Medical Leadership and Business Leader to evaluate clinical services, clinical quality, while participating in the process to initiate growth plans.  These growth plans include expansion clinical opportunities including ASC and PET-CT services, expansion, etc.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to): 
  • Understand each practice operational situations.
  • Attend monthly operation review meeting with the practices and CVAUSA stakeholders.
  • Become the trusted “relationship manager” and “go to source” even when delivering tough practice performance messages. 
  • Attend monthly operation review meeting with the practices and CVAUSA stakeholders.
  • Attend Practice Board meetings as necessary.  (virtual).
  • Visit practices and establish presence.
  • Share best practices from other practices to encourage growth and problem solving. Establishes relationship with clinic leaders and physician owners for structured, well-planned execution of deliverables. 
  • Collaborates with organizations in developing and executing clinical delivery system design that aligns with the vision and strategic plan of the specific clinic and the organization. 
  • Collaborate with functional area leaders (Business Development, Operations, Risk Management/Compliance, Marketing, Human Resources, IT, and Finance) to introduce and implement NSO strategies and support services at cardiovascular practices.
  • Build positive and productive relationships with physicians, management, and staff in partner practices.
  • Facilitate issue resolution through consultative discovery and creative problem solving.
Qualifications and Background
  • Self-starter willing to identify and address issues independently
  • Prior experience in assessing and improving practice operations, patient experience, and clinician/employee experience
  • Prior cardiology practice group experience.  Experience with ASC, Cath Labs operations, imaging services a plus. 
  • Experience with systems used in healthcare settings (e.g., practice management, electronic health records and ancillary systems)
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments constructively, efficiently, and positively
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient computer software skills
  • Experience with driving and tracking performance against key performance indicators in clinical delivery settings
  • Ability to spend approximately 60%+ of time travelling domestically
  • Bachelor’s degree in health care or business-related field preferred; Master’s degree ideal but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing multiple healthcare practices or similar operational management roles
  • Proven track record of achieving patient satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and financial reporting
Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • A master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
