Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI), a proud CVAUSA partner, delivers comprehensive, patient-first cardiac care using the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine. Our team specializes in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of conditions including coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, hypertension, valve disease, and heart failure.

As our footprint continues to expand, we are looking to add a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to support both clinic and hospital-based care in the Tavares area.

What You’ll Do

Outpatient (Clinic) Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care alongside a collaborative team of cardiologists and APPs
  • Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures
  • Prescribe and adjust medications as appropriate
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists when needed

Inpatient (Hospital) Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cardiology consults and inpatient rounding
  • Perform histories, physical exams, and clinical documentation
  • Manage medications and treatment plans
  • Support stress testing and other cardiac procedures
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care

Schedule & Structure

  • Full-time position
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Weekend rounding approximately once per month
  • Split between clinic and hospital responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active, unrestricted Florida license (or ability to obtain)
  • Cardiology experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to patient experience
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to care
