About the Opportunity

Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI), a CVAUSA partner, is expanding its inpatient cardiology services across Central Florida. We are seeking a motivated and clinically driven Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our hospital-based cardiology team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys acute care, fast-paced environments, and hands-on involvement in managing complex cardiac patients.


What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the inpatient team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care within affiliated hospitals:

  • Perform inpatient consults and daily rounding on cardiology patients
  • Evaluate and manage acute cardiac conditions including heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain/ACS, and post-procedural patients
  • Partner closely with cardiologists on diagnosis, treatment planning, and care progression
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing (labs, EKGs, imaging, stress testing as applicable)
  • Manage medications, discharges, and transitions of care
  • Document encounters, histories, and clinical decisions accurately and efficiently
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care
  • Participate in a shared call rotation

  • Rotating call schedule
  • Based primarily within affiliated hospital settings

Qualifications

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active, unrestricted Florida license (or ability to obtain)
  • Cardiology or inpatient experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong interest in acute/inpatient cardiology care
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to quality patient outcomes
